Tipping the models on MFC

Camming and the whole digital adult industry is going through a major change right now. Pretty much like music, movies and games, people expect to get everything free online nowadays. And this is more prevalent now especially among the younger crowd. I am personally more ”old-school” guy which means we were getting used to pay for games, music and you guessed it, adult content, back in the day. The more time passes and audiences get younger, the less likely they are willing pay for any forms of entertainment online. I still tip the models on MFC but only for my requests, and you have to draw the line somewhere so I gathered a list for top 6 silly tip requests:

1) Tip for the song choice in the room

Just like mentioned above, I find it a bit funny when a 18-year-old girl is requesting a tip to play a song in her room that she gets for FREE from YouTube. After all, it is someone else’s work and asking for money to play the song is just another form of piracy. And I don’t mean putting on a strip show with it but just ”chilling” with music in the background. 

2) To be added on a model's friend list

Models come and go, with 150 new MFC models signing up every day and just as many leaving the site. A normal premium member doesn’t have enough hours in a day to get to know models to be added on HIS friends list, let alone pay models to be on theirs. And we are not talking about real friends anyway, you will never know when the model is going to quit MFC to get a regular job, without telling her "friends" of course. Having said that, I have models that have added me on their list just because like me or enjoy talking with me. That is of course totally different.

3) Tip for PM messages

Pretty much same as above plus the additional reasoning that models often claim they "spend their time" chatting with members which could be spent on working. But members' time is just as valuable, and it could be spent elsewhere earning money, which they will later bring on to the website. And sometimes there are things you just don't want to share in the public chat when hundreds of people are reading. (And remember, those public chats are recorded into every premiums archives if they have commented anything in the models room.) Some requests or negotiations are done in PM so the model will repel paying customers.

4) Tip to open their cam

This phenomenon was still going on a few years ago when many models would set their cam on "away" mode and ask for tips to open it again. This silly habit has mostly disappeared and it is really no wonder; the room will eventually get empty and you have to start building it again back from the square one.

5) Tip to open my cam

I am not a big fan of models going around opening members’ cams and asking a tip for it. Some models come and ask for a tip if they see my cam is streaming without even opening it. I open my cam for friends who like to see me while they are chatting, just like they like sending me PM messages. Remember, if you are so unpleasant to look at that you have to tip for it, the models will cover your cam window on their screen with a post-it sticker and just collect your money. 

6) Tip for model's phone number, Facebook, Skype, kik-messenger, snapchat etc.. 

Just like friends list are not real friends, these other means of communication are not real phone numbers, addresses etc. Models will usually buy cheap prepaid phone numbers that they can discard some time after they have collected members money. It is different of course, if a model knows you well enough that she wants to give you her number, Skype or Facebook but then again, she wouldn't ask money for it. I have done this with a few models before and some are still my friends, just use caution how much info you give online before knowing the person well.

Should you meet your cam girl?

I would like to thank everyone visiting my blog, the increasing traffic is a sign that there really is no good "how to be great" guide for MFC premiums. Today's topic is regarding the big question that comes up ever so often: Should you meet your cam girl after you have made "friends" with her? The answer in most cases (if not all) is no. Remember that the girls on MyFreeCams, like all adult websites, are your "friends" because they expect money out of it. Sure it is possible to find someone who likes you for who you are but it is rare. And if you somehow manage to figure out she is not after your money and still go ahead, here are a couple of things you should consider:

1) Let's say she's not after your money and you can develop this into something meaningful, but you still might want to ask yourself are you sure you know what you are getting into. Camming is job after which there is no turning back, returning to corporate life or working in public sector and so on. Cam girls are making ridiculous amounts of money (most likely more than you do) at a young age but when years go by the money is getting less and less. Even their CV will look suspicious to someone potentially recruiting. So you will have to accept the fact that either she will be showing her naked body for guys on cam or then not working at all. And there is no retirement/medical plan either.

2) Because of their job, cam girls usually turn into general man-haters. After all, they see the creepiest guys in the whole internet universe asking all kinds of weird requests all day long. Ask any cam girl and she will tell you they simply cannot date a guy without getting annoyed. E.g. after receiving a naughty SMS from the guy their mood turns sour and turned off, thinking: "I should be getting paid for this" etc. There is a saying in Asia amongst Western men who frequent some of the bars with "bar girl" entertainers: "you can take the girl out of the bar but you can never take the bar out of the girl". In camming world this translates into girls thinking of guys as "wallets" and never as normal people with relationships.

3) And even if you are ok with all this, there is still one more thing: cam girls get recorded constantly and it is only a matter of time until the pictures and videos are posted somewhere. Now what would you think if your friends or family would see a video of your girlfriend/fiance/wife stripping for money on cam? This kind of video is likely to pop up even years from now.

So getting involved with a cam girl is a big no-no. But what about just having casual sex? Once a cam girl I knew asked me to visit her for sex (her own words). Now call me crazy but I still said no. So let's treat MFC as it is, a fun place to play with girls and even have a meaningful chat sometimes and not try to make it more than it is. Forget about meeting cam girls in real life. The Holiday season is starting now, spend more time with the people that really matter to you.

Practical tips for MyFreeCams

So now you have got started on MFC. Here are some practical tips how to up your game from now on. First of all, make sure you have a good connection and bandwidth. You will have to be able to open 20 to 30 PM pop-up windows with the girls webcam chat without lagging. Due to technical issues, it is always better to open your webcam after you started chatting with everyone as MFC often does not connect your camera feed if you first open your cam before doing anything else. Start the chat with New Models, they all have cam score 1000 so you'll find them on second page (or on first page during super slow days) and then proceed to your friends. Don't spend too much time on girls with 2000+ cam score as they often are too busy to talk.

Instead of visiting the lounge or girls rooms, I usually stay on the main page in order to see who's online and simply open PM pop-up windows from there. Some girls on MFC behave a bit irrationally, so they might block their PM function while you still see their cam in the pop-up window. They might even ban members for not chatting, even though the chat is not enabled. Naturally you will remember these girls and watch them from the lounge (or simply not watch at all). I don't like to use the lounge very often but this is the only good function they have. In any case, MFC usually has 1000+ models online so you can just ignore the difficult ones.

Payment periods for MFC models are 1st to 15th of every month and 16th to 30th/31st. The best time to visit MFC are the days closing in the cut-off with all girls naked online and things get really wild when everyone's trying to gather last tokens during the last few days. Reversely, the worst days are the following couple of days after cut-off as there are very few models online (but obviously the usual amount of members). Ironically, these particular days would be the best time for models to log in with much less competition but cam girls usually don't think that far ahead. It might be a good idea to stay out a day or two somewhere after the cut-off date.

Of course, girls' perception of a 'slow day' is quite the opposite, when there are 1500+ models online and crazy action in dozens of rooms that is a slow day for most models (as an individual model doesn't get as many tips as usual) while the total amount of tips is constant. I remember this one day MFC was like a circus, every other room had a shower show, oil show, lez show or what have you and one of the models said "I've never seen MFC so quiet". Nowadays many girls are complaining MFC is getting slower when in reality just more models log online and it is in fact getting busier.

Regarding the tips, be rational. You can tip the girls you like, but remember that once the girls notice you will tip them they are likely to send you PMs right away every time you log in. Look for East European, Continental Asian and Latin American girls for most friendly and fun moments. Try to avoid North American and Philipina girls as they usually don't make friendly conversation, although there are many exceptions. Western European girls are rare but they are good to find and play with.

Getting started on MFC

What makes MFC so unique from anything else are the private messaging and member webcam functions. Models and Premium Members can really get to know each other instead of the shallow hru-where-you-from? chat you have on other sites. I've been a Premium for years now and am keeping in touch with several models in my Yahoo and even added some in my Facebook, if they seem reasonable enough.

To get a better grip how it works on MyFreeCams just sign up, receive some tokens, and set about exploring the site. Once you are Premium, start by opening chat pop-ups with New Models and Friends as they are the most talkative. After you have 20+ decent conversations going on, open your webcam and girls can see how you look (if you say anything interesting they will open your cam). Remember, do not ask girls to strip or show boobs or something stupid like that, they hear it hundreds of times every day. You know, they will get naked eventually without you asking.

There are always girls who ask for tokens to open your cam once they notice your cam link but you can simply ignore them. Once you have 4 or 5 girls watching you, try to concentrate on chatting with them. You can expect anything, if a girl likes you she will ask you to undress and do all kinds of things, show her your cock etc so you can start playing. You can tip the girls you like and also rate 5 stars.

Always add the models you like to your Friends so you can continue with the chat next time you log in. If she doesn't remember you next time she was probably faking it. And bear in mind that you cannot tip every girl that wants to chat or you'll be bankrupt within a month. I usually tip the girls I get to know well. There are models that have blocked their pm option or ask for tips to chat but you can ignore them (and rate them 1 star) and move on. And never tip a girl for adding you on their friends list as you'll never know how long they will work for MFC. Some might even un-friend you when you stop tipping her.

Rating the girls 1 to 5 stars doesn't effect their cam score but it will show in the profile page. So you can rate 1 star and then ignore any girl who will ask for tokens to open your cam or add friend list or ask for pvt after 30 seconds and all things stupid like that. By 'ignore' I don't mean the Ignore -function, but simply close down the pop-up. With more than 1000+ models online to chat with, there are plenty of fish in the MF-Sea, so to speak. And also check out the Members Lounge with video feed and members chat, it's great but it will slow down your laptop a bit.
